Counselling can give you a space to let out your feelings, anxieties, and worries. Whether you’re dealing with something that’s happening right now, or coping with the past, I’m here to help.

In our counselling sessions you will have someone who listens, cares and understands things from your perspective. You will find relief from the problems that are troubling you and have the opportunity to change what’s causing them.

What to expect from counselling

In our first session you can tell your story. You can get an idea of what counselling is and how I work. I will ask you some questions too: I want to know what has brought you to counselling and to understand who you are.

In the following sessions we will explore what’s important to you and look at how you can get where you want to be. I will tailor the counselling approach to suit you and your needs. One approach I often use is to understand the parts of you which feel angry, sad, lonely, happy and so on. Whilst all of these parts are trying to help you, sometimes they can make things difficult. By listening to those parts of you, and hearing their stories, we can help them, and you, to feel at ease. This is called Internal Family Systems Therapy.

What happens next?

I offer a free 20 minute phone call so that you can tell me what you would like to work on, ask me any questions and see if you’d like to work with me. We can then organise our first session at a time that suits you, either at 673 Abbeydale Road or online. I am available mornings, afternoons and evenings Monday-Friday.

You can contact me at therapywiththeomoore@gmail.com or on 07375 205153. Sessions cost £50 for 50 minutes.

About me

I began my journey in the same place as you: by coming to counselling. I discovered that by finding out more about myself, I felt so much more free. I have worked with asylum seekers, people experiencing homelessness, and have run a befriending service. No matter where we’re from, we can all struggle. I am able to understand what’s going on behind the scenes and to explain it in a straightforward way. That’s why I became a counsellor and why I know that you can change your life for the better.

My qualifications include a Diploma in Counselling Practice, and Masters degrees in Psychology and Philosophy. I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

Here are some of the things I can help you with:
